NexGen Fueling was formed as
the result of Chart Industries, Inc. purchasing the three pioneering companies
in the LNG alternative fuel market in the late 1990s.
MVE, founded in 1963,
was the world's leading designer and manufacturer of vacuum insulated
products and systems. By empowering a variety of industries around the
globe to utilize cryogenic technology, it grew into a world leader in
that field. The LNG division supplied over 98% of the LNG on board fueling
stations installed on transit buses and heavy duty trucks, and its products
were and are used in virtually every LNG fueling station operating in
North America today.
CVI, a pioneer in LNG
fueling station and LNG vehicle tank design and manufacturing as well
as a leading cryogenic equipment supplier to the aerospace industry, including
cryogenic equipment used by NASA.
Cryenco, a worldwide
supplier of cryogenic transportation equipment, including truck and trailer
mounted cargo tanks, transport trailers, and inter-modal containers.
The consolidation of three
companies under the Chart name has created the worlds largest and
most technically advanced LNG infrastructure supplier. Chart has designed
and built more LNG and LCNG fueling stations than anyone in the world
in the last 10 years, currently has 29 LNG infrastructure based patents
and has been responsible for virtually all of the innovations in the industry.
We are the only company that provides liquefaction, storage, transportation
and dispensing technology for todays LNG market and has the experience
required for the smooth start-up of a LNG or LCNG station.
Process
Systems Division (PSD)
PSD designs, engineers and installs both small scale (from 10,000 gallons
per day to 100,000 gallons per day) and large scale liquefiers. Applications
range from liquefaction for LNG vehicle fueling off of a natural gas pipeline,
to 10,000 to 50,000 gallons per day liquefaction units at abandoned wells,
to large peak shaving liquefaction units. PSDs manufacturing unit
in New Iberia, Louisiana has manufactured more than 150 cold box units
for liquefaction since opening in 1995.
PSD history dates back to the
1950s at Arthur D. Little where the first Helium Liquefaction unit was
developed. In the 60s, Arthur D. Little created Cryogenic Technology (Cti)
to manufacture a broad range of cryogenic systems for the cryogenic, nuclear,
petrochemical and gas processing equipment industries.
